Autumn Wine Club Nights at Rotunda

Do you enjoy learning about wine? Rotunda's Wine Club offers excellent tastings as well as a good evening experience. This autumn, together with our friends from Swig Wine (please add hyperlink to Swigâ's website) we bring you two fantastic events:

13.09      Burgundy Tasting and Dinner

On this occasion we will taste 12 of Burgundy's most interesting and unique wines. This

tasting offers an exciting opportunity to decipher the beauty of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in their finest, purest form, from some of the region's best producers.

After this you will be taking your seats in Rotunda to enjoy a delicious four course dinner.

 

Amuse

Treacle cured Scottish salmon, dill cream

Starter

Confit English Gressingham duck and pickled walnut ballontine, beetroot carpaccio

Main Course

Slow braised thyme infused Northumbrian beef brisket, clotted cream crushed potatoes, wild mushrooms, red wine jus

Pudding

Autumn fruit crumble, vanilla and cinnamon custard

The evening will commence at 6.30pm. £55.00 per person.

18.10   Weird & Wonderful Wines from Around the World and Dinner

Don't miss our last tasting of the year, and what a spectacular way of finishing this season! Our Wine Club partners, Swig Wine (hyperlink), proposed to do this tasting to introduce some of the worlds most unique, individual and sought after wines.

Through a blind tasting you will discover 10 whacky and interesting wines from around the world. The fun will be to see a) if you like them and b) if you have the foggiest idea what they are or where they come from.

This exciting tasting will be followed by a sumptuous four course dinner at Rotunda Restaurant.

Amuse

White bean and truffle velouté, cep powder

Starter

Smoke trout and Scottish salmon rillette, chive créme fraiche, carpaccio of beetroots

Main Course

Rump of Texel lamb, roast salsify and Jerusalem artichokes, dauphinnoise potatoes, cavolo nero and redcurrant

Pudding

Glazed fig tart, vanilla mascarpone, honey and rosemary parfait

The evening will commence at 6.30pm. £49.50 per person.
